The company said John Mansell had bought 50,000 of its shares in a single transaction on the London Stock Exchange.
He paid 576p for each share, valuing the purchase at £288,000.01.
ULS Technology, meanwhile, said Kestrel Partners had purchased 31,065 of its shares at an average price of 76.5p each.
It said its non-executive director Oliver Scott is a partner of, and holds a beneficial interest in, Kestrel.
Scott is also a shareholder in one of Kestrel's clients, Kestrel Opportunities, and was thus deemed to have a beneficial interest in Kestrel Opportunities' entire legal holding in ULS.
Following the purchase, Kestrel Opportunities held, and thus Scott was deemed to have a beneficial interest in, 13,129,815 shares in ULS Technology, and other clients of Kestrel, in which Scott had no beneficial interest, held 5,902,544 shares.
On a combined basis, Kestrel indirectly held voting rights over 19,032,359 shares in the company, representing 29.34% of its issued share capital.
