For the six months ended 30 June, revenues rose 8% to $24.1m, while operating profit increased 11% to 2.5m.

Net profit was up 6% to $2m, with basic earnings per share climbing 17% to 2.5 US cents.

The company ended the period with $5.1m in net cash after paying $2.9m in dividends in April, supported by a 66% jump in operating cash flow to $2.5m.

The antenna division led growth with sales up 23%, driven by rising global defence spending and a 40% surge in 5G backhaul solution sales, particularly in India.

Mottech revenues rose 8%, aided by contracts in Israel, the US, and a large-scale Italian irrigation project, while MTI Summit saw a modest 3% sales decline due to a contract change but reported 12% growth in its core RF and microwave business.

“MTI is in a strong position, with all three divisions performing well, underpinned by sustained demand for our radio frequency solutions across our core markets of water, defence, and 5G,” said chief executive Moni Borovitz.

“Defence, in particular, has delivered a marked increase in both sales and order intake - a trend we expect to continue into the medium term as our offering and technologies are expanding.”

He added that the group had strong order visibility and a solid balance sheet, leaving it confident in the outlook for the rest of the year.

At 1025 BST, shares in MTI Wireless Edge were down 1.03% at 48p.
